Here is a visual map which highlights the global distribution of precious metals. The map illustrates where the largest deposits of gold, silver, palladium, and other valuable metals have been discovered.

Gold has captivated humanity for centuries, with many economies historically basing their currencies on the “gold standard.” It is estimated that approximately 244,000 metric tons of gold have been mined, with nearly half of it now existing in the form of jewelry.

Experts estimate that around 20% of the Earth’s gold reserves have yet to be extracted. China leads the world in gold production, followed closely by Australia. In the case of silver, Mexico ranks as the top producer, with Peru in second place. The map also features data on other precious metals, such as platinum and palladium, along with statistics on their extraction.
